Green Spot Irish Whiskey Quails’ Gate Revealed
Update: Green Spot Quails’ Gate launches March 2023!
Labels submitted to the TTB have revealed Green Spot Quails’ Gate, a limited edition Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey matured in bourbon and sherry casks and finished in Pinot Noir wine casks from Quails’ Gate Winery.
The back label describes Green Spot Quails’ Gate as having aromas of “oak, ripe cherry, fresh raspberry, apple, sweet pear, woodland spices, sweet vanilla, and red wine.” The palate has “a silky and sweet moutcoating texture” and notes of “dried cranberries, red apple, clove spice, grated nutmeg, succulent fruits, seasoned oak, and crisp barley.” It concludes with “the toasted wood and pot still spices gently fading” and “the fruits and red wine seasoning taking the final blow.”
Green Spot Quails’ Gate will be bottled at 46% ABV. Expect an official announcement with more information, including pricing, release date, and availability, prior to launch.
