Lux Row Distillers Launches Daviess County Lightly Toasted

Lux Row Distillers has announced the launch of Daviess County Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Lightly Toasted American Oak Barrels.
Daviess County Lightly Toasted is the first in a series of annual toasted-barrel finishes that will experiment with light, medium, and heavy toast levels and the influence they have on bourbon.
Daviess County Lightly Toasted is produced from a combination of ryed and wheated bourbon mashbills which have been aged for a minimum of four years in charred oak barrels and finished in lightly toasted American oak barrels. Bottled at 96 proof (48% ABV), the finish in lightly toasted American oak barrels is described as contributing aromas of “caramel, vanilla, and hints of oak,” and flavors of “sweet caramel, vanilla, and coconut” on the palate.
Daviess County Lightly Toasted is limited to 18,000 bottles and will be available beginning this month at a suggested retail price of $49.99.
