Kinsale Spirit Co. Expands The Battle of Kinsale Series

Kinsale Spirit Co. has announced the expansion of The Battle of Kinsale Series with Great Earl Single Grain Irish Whiskey and Spanish Earl Single Malt Irish Whiskey. They join Red Earl Blended Irish Whiskey, which was launched in 2021.
Red Earl Blended Irish Whiskey is composed of ex-bourbon matured grain and ex-sherry matured triple distilled malt, individually aged for 45 months, then married and further matured for a minimum of 4 months in ex-Rioja casks before being bottled at 40% ABV. Rioja was chosen for its spicy fruits, and as a mark of respect to the resting place of the Red Earl, Hugh O’Donnell, near the Rioja region of Spain.
Great Earl Single Grain Irish Whiskey is composed of rechar barrel matured grain and virgin oak matured grain, individually aged for 45 months, then married and further matured for a minimum of 3 months in ex-Sangiovese casks before being bottled at 40% ABV. The Sangiovese casks used for finishing were sourced exclusively from the Lazio region of Italy, a nod to the final resting place of the Great Earl, Hugh O’Neill, in Vatican City.
Spanish Earl Single Malt Irish Whiskey is triple distilled and matured in ex-Bourbon casks for nearly 4 years, then split and individually finished in ex-Imperial stout and ex-aged golden Jamaican rum casks for a minimum of 3 months, before being blended back together and bottled at 43% ABV. The stout element is inspired by Spanish General, Juan del Aguila’s, time spent in Cork, renowned the world over for stout production for hundreds of years, while rum, being the preferred drink of seafarers of old, lends sweet toffee to the dark chocolate of the stout.
The Battle of Kinsale Series is now shipping to the United States, China, and European markets.
