Teeling Whiskey Unveils Wonders of Wood First Edition
Teeling Whiskey has unveiled Wonders of Wood, a limited edition series of Irish whiskeys created to push the boundaries of flavor by utilizing unique styles of wood for the maturation of Teeling Single Pot Still Whiskey.
The First Edition in the Wonders of Wood series is a Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey crafted from a recipe of 50% malted barley and 50% un-malted barley, triple distilled at Teeling Whiskey Distillery in Dublin and fully matured in virgin Chinkapin American White Oak barrels.
Wonders of Wood First Edition is described as having aromas of “sweet toffee, butterscotch, caramel biscuit, and wood tannins.” The palate features notes of “banana bread, ginger spices, and cream soda,” concluding with “wood spice, dark chocolate, and a hint of black pepper.”
Teeling Whiskey Wonders of Wood First Edition is bottled non-chill filtered and with no added color at 50% ABV. Wonders of Wood First Edition carries a suggested retail price of €80 and will initially be available in Ireland at the Teeling Whiskey Distillery, Celtic Whiskey Shop, and select retailers throughout the country, followed by a rollout to European, Asian, and US markets later this year.
