Old Forester Launches President’s Choice Sweepstakes
In celebration of National Repeal Day, Old Forester is running its first-ever nationwide sweepstakes for the opportunity to purchase a bottle of Old Forester President’s Choice, a distillery exclusive, single barrel limited edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
“It’s often difficult for consumers to buy President’s Choice unless they happen to be at the distillery on the day it’s released,” Master Taster Jackie Zykan said. “We continue to look for ways to improve our systems to share these special bottles with our fans, and we believe this new approach can help us achieve just that.”
The history of President’s Choice dates back to 1890 when Old Forester Founder and President George Garvin Brown presented the first iteration to the Governor of Kentucky. This year, Campbell Brown, a fifth-generation Brown family member and chairman of Brown-Forman Corporation, with the guidance of Master Taster Jackie Zykan, has selected the single barrel for release.
This year’s release of Old Forester President’s Choice is described as having “sweet and inviting” aromas with notes of “creamy milk chocolate and baked apple complemented by touches of toasted coconut and brown sugar.” The palate opens up with “bright caramel that transitions to robust spices,” concluding with notes of “sweet vanilla cream and fresh anise” on the “lengthy clean finish.”
Those interested in entering the President’s Choice Sweepstakes may do so from December 2 at 9:00 a.m. ET through December 10 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Winners will be chosen at random and notified on December 13 with the opportunity to purchase a bottle of Old Forester President’s Choice directly from the Old Forester Distillery at a retail price of $179.99.
