WhistlePig The Boss Hog VIII: Lapulapu’s Pacific

WhistlePig has announced The Boss Hog VIII: LapuLapu’s Pacific, a single barrel, barrel strength, straight Rye whiskey sourced from Canada, aged in American Oak, and finished in high toast, small batch, single island Philippine Rum casks.

WhistlePig The Boss Hog VIII: LapuLapu’s Pacific is described as having aromas of “rich lush vanilla and delicate tropical notes including underripe bananas, freshly picked lemon, and molasses.” The palate showcases notes of “fresh ground cinnamon with citrus zest, butterscotch, and light notes of toffee,” concluding with “tanned leather, light brown sugar, nutmeg, allspice, and long-lasting black pepper rye spice” on the finish.

Due to the variable nature of single barrel products, bottles of The Boss Hog VIII: LapuLapu’s Pacific will vary from 104.8–106.6 proof (52.4-53.3% ABV).

WhistlePig The Boss Hog VIII: LapuLapu’s Pacific will be available beginning this month at a suggested retail price of $499.99.
