High West A Midwinter Night’s Dram Act 9 Releasing in October

High West has announced the 2021 release of A Midwinter Night’s Dram, an annual, limited release of High West Rendezvous Rye finished in French oak Ruby and Tawny Port barrels.

This year’s release, Act 9, is described as having aromas of “muddled blackberries, honey-poached figs, chocolate-covered cherries, toasted marshmallow, gentian root, star anise, hoisin sauce, a well-worn leather jacket, and a warm blanket by the fire on a crisp evening.” On the palate, notes of “sugar plums, blackberries, spiced bitter orange peel, toffee cookies aside an orange tea, fresh dates, cinnamon strudel, brown sugar glass, and dried thyme leaves”, finishing with “aromatic bitters, pink peppercorn, violets, and mint.”

High West A Midwinter Night’s Dram Act 9 is bottled at 49.3% ABV (98.6 proof) and will be available in limited quantities beginning in October at a suggested retail price of $99.99.
