Buffalo Trace Distillery Releases Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. 18 Year Old Marriage
Buffalo Trace Distillery has announced the release of Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. 18 Year Old Marriage, a one-time-only special release straight bourbon whiskey that’s a marriage of three mashbills that were put into barrels in 2002: wheated bourbon mashbill, rye bourbon mashbill #1, and rye bourbon mashbill #2.
Official tasting notes describe Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. 18 Year Old Marriage as having aromas of “vanilla butter cake” followed by “caramel and cinnamon” on the palate and “toasted oak, cinnamon, and a hint of spearmint” on the finish.
Colonel E. H. Taylor, Jr. 18 Year Old Marriage is Bottled-in-Bond at 100 proof (50% ABV) and will be available starting June 2020 in highly limited quantities at a suggested retail price of $69.99 per 750 mL bottle.
