Kavalan Announces King Car Group 40th Anniversary Limited Edition
Kavalan has announced the King Car Group 40th Anniversary Limited Edition, a single malt Taiwanese whisky created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Kavalan’s parent company, King Car Group.
Kavalan King Car Group 40th Anniversary has been matured in an unspecified type of red wine cask. The nose is described as “Powerful and dense with rich notes of red wine exuding dark-skinned Cabernet Sauvignon fruit, with strawberry, bilberry, spice and flourishes of fresh charred oak.” On the palate, “Thick, mouth-drawing layers of toffee-rich berry fruits, enlivened with flares of spice, notably pepper, clove and tobacco, all brought together with a magnificent wine character.” The finish is “Long and sensuous, yielding a gentle mix of signature fruits and soft spices.”
The King Car Group 40th Anniversary Limited Edition bottle is topped with a Swarovski crystal adorned cork and comes encased in a leather and wood box featuring a crystal glass Kavalan branded tumbler.
Kavalan King Car Group 40th Anniversary Limited Edition is limited to 10,000 sets of 1,500 mL bottles and is available now in Taiwan, with a global release to follow in 2020.
