Old Forester 2019 Birthday Bourbon Releases September 2nd
Old Forester has announced that the 2019 bottling of their annual Birthday Bourbon will be released on September 2nd. The 2019 bottling will be the 19th consecutive iteration of the expression, launched to celebrate the marking of Old Forester founder George Garvin Brown’s birthday.
Old Forester 2019 Birthday Bourbon is comprised of 120 barrels distilled on May 15, 2008 and aged on the second floor of Warehouse I for 11 years. Bottled at 105 proof (52.5% ABV), the 2019 Birthday Bourbon is described as having a taste “consisting of rich oak spice and blackcurrant coupled with light maple, caramel cake and white floral notes.”
Old Forester 2019 Birthday Bourbon will be available in limited quantities (~2,200 six bottle cases) starting September 2nd. It carries a suggested retail price of $99.99.
