Buffalo Trace Distillery Releases Double Eagle Very Rare
Buffalo Trace Distillery has announced the release of Double Eagle Very Rare, a highly limited, 20 year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
Double Eagle Very Rare is bottled in a crystal decanter and packaged in a silver presentation box featuring sliding doors imprinted with an eagle feather design. Sliding open the doors triggers spotlights above and below the bottle and grants access to an individually numbered letter of authenticity.
Why the name Double Eagle Very Rare? Double meaning! First, this 20 year old bourbon whiskey is matured twice as long as the standard Eagle Rare 10 year old. Second, the crystal decanter features two sculptured crystal glass eagles, one inside the bottle, and one serving as the stopper.
The first release of Double Eagle Very Rare is bottled at 45% ABV and limited to just 299 bottles at a suggested retail price of $1,999. The next release of Double Eagle Very Rare will be in spring 2020.
