Fifth WhistlePig Boss Hog Release is The Spirit of Mauve, Finished in Calvados (Apple Brandy) Barrels
Labels recently approved by the TTB have revealed The Spirit of Mauve, the fifth edition in WhistlePig’s The Boss Hog series. This release will be a 13 year old Canadian sourced straight rye whiskey finished in Calvados (apply brandy) barrels. Barrel 1 will be bottled at 59.5% ABV (119 Proof). As with past Boss Hog releases, and due to the nature of barrel maturation, we presume there will be minor variance between barrels and anticipate the rest to come in at around 58-60% ABV.
Expect an official announcement with more information, including pricing, release date, and availability, prior to launch.

Where can I get this
The Spirit of Mauve hasn’t been released yet. It’s expected to be released this Fall.
