Heaven’s Door and Redbreast Announce The Master Blenders’ Edition Collaboration
Heaven’s Door and Redbreast have announced the release of The Master Blenders’ Edition, a limited edition 10 year old Bourbon finished in Redbreast Irish Whiskey casks.
A collaboration more than two years in the making, The Master Blenders’ Edition was created in tandem by Master Blenders Ryan Perry of Heaven’s Door and Billy Leighton of Redbreast Irish Whiskey, with input from Heaven’s Door Founder and singer-songwriter, Bob Dylan. To create The Master Blenders’ Edition, Ryan Perry and Billy Leighton aged 10 year old Straight Bourbon Whiskey in Redbreast Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey casks for 15 months.
Bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV), Heaven’s Door x Redbreast The Master Blenders’ Edition is described as having aromas of “red apples, figs and dates”, with notes of “marzipan and walnut with buttery ground nut sweetness, raisin, and nougat” on the palate, finishing with “a touch of honey and coconut and subtle sweetness from Irish honeycomb.”
Heaven’s Door x Redbreast The Master Blenders’ Edition will be available in limited quantities in the U.S. beginning in June and will also be available in the UK and Ireland in September. The Master Blenders’ Edition carries a suggested retail price of $99.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
