Redbreast 27 Year Old Ruby Port Casks Revealed

Labels submitted to the TTB have revealed a Redbreast 27 year old single pot still Irish whiskey “enriched by” Ruby Port Casks.
Presumably, the term enriched is used to indicate that the whiskey has been finished in Port casks, rather than fully matured in them for all 27 years. The presence of a batch number (B1/19) on the front label also seems to indicate this will be an ongoing release, rather than a one time affair.
The front label describes Redbreast 27 Year Old Ruby Port Casks as “a succulent medley of ripe dark fruit, blood orange and walnuts with summer berries, soft vanilla and smoldering oak.”
Redbreast 27 Year Old Ruby Port Casks Batch B1/19 will be bottled at a natural cask strength of 53.5% ABV. Expect an official announcement with details on pricing and availability prior to launch.
