Tamnavulin Announces 25 Year Old Diamond Anniversary Limited Edition

Tamnavulin Distillery has announced the release of Tamnavulin 25 Year Old Diamond Anniversary Limited Edition.

The 60th anniversary release was distilled in 2000 after a 12 year closure of the stills. It was matured in ex-Bourbon and finished in a single Moscatel cask, then bottled non-chill filtered and of natural color at a cask strength of 51.8% ABV.

Tamnavulin 25 Year Old Diamond Anniversary Limited Edition is described as having aromas of “poached pear, creamy custard, and a hint of balsamic.” The palate exhibits notes of “dark chocolate-covered raisins, bright citrus, and heather honey.” It finishes with “mandarin roasted hazelnut and chocolate caramel ganache.”

Tamnavulin 25 Year Old Diamond Anniversary Limited Edition is limited to only 290 bottles globally and is available at specialist shops and the distillery shop during the Spirit of Speyside celebrations.

Tomintoul Distillery Reopens to Public for 2026 Season

Tomintoul Distillery has reopened its doors to the public for the 2026 season.

Closed to the public over the winter months, the Speyside distillery’s 90-minute guided tours will run through November 1, 2026. The experience takes visitors through the full whisky-making journey, from raw ingredients to spirit, concluding with a tasting of three Tomintoul single malts.

To mark the reopening, Tomintoul has also unveiled two new limited edition, distillery exclusive expressions: Tomintoul 11 Year Old and Tomintoul Sauternes Barrique Single Cask.

Tomintoul 11 Year Old was matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso Sherry butts. It’s bottled at 55% ABV and is limited to 1,009 bottles priced at £79.

Tomintoul Sauternes Barrique Single Cask was distilled on November 26, 2004 and bottled in July 2025 at 56.3% ABV. It’s limited to 318 individually numbered bottles priced at £225.

The GlenAllachie Launches Fourth Chapter In Sherry Series: Palo Cortado Matured Single Malt

The GlenAllachie has unveiled the fourth chapter in its limited edition Sherry Series: The GlenAllachie 11 Year Old Palo Cortado Sherry Cask Matured Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

First launched in April 2024, the Sherry Series explores the influence different secondary Sherry cask maturations can have on whisky of the same cask history. Each expression in the series is initially matured in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels before undergoing secondary maturation in a single Sherry cask type, in this case Palo Cortado.

The GlenAllachie 11 Year Old Palo Cortado Sherry Cask Matured is bottled at 48% ABV and presented of natural color and without chill filtration. It’s described as having aromas of “cinnamon spice, butterscotch, and damson plum, with notes of heather honey, raisin butter, and crystalised ginger.” The palate exhibits flavors of “toasted honeycomb, fresh brambles, and baking spices, followed by maraschino cherries, mocha, and plum jam, with treacle and chocolate.”

The GlenAllachie 11 Year Old Palo Cortado Sherry Cask Matured will be available globally in the coming weeks for a recommended retailer price of £62.99.

The GlenAllachie Unveils 1990 / 35 Year Old Cask Strength

The GlenAllachie Distillery has announced the launch of The GlenAllachie 1990 / 35 Year Old Cask Strength.

The GlenAllachie 1990 / 35 Year Old Cask Strength marries single malts matured in four cask types – Mizunara virgin oak, Oloroso Sherry, Pedro Ximénez Sherry, and American oak – and is bottled at a cask strength of 50.2% ABV and presented non-chill filtered and free from added coloring.

The GlenAllachie 1990 / 35 Year Old Cask Strength is described as having aromas of “mocha, crystalised cinnamon, and treacle tart, followed by cocoa, toasted hazelnuts, and pineapple, with soft notes of ginger and heather honey.” The palate exhibits flavors of “cocoa, baking spices, and chocolate-coated raisins, followed by coconut, brandied orchard fruits, and sandalwood, with vanilla, dried red fruits, and honeycomb.”

The GlenAllachie 1990 / 35 Year Old Cask Strength is presented in a Valchromat box, housed within a bespoke wooden case inspired by Kumiko – the traditional Japanese woodworking art of assembling intricate patterns without nails. Each side of the box is adorned with four unique motifs, representing the quartet of casks that shaped the whisky’s character. The bottle has a broad shoulder that tapers down, finished with foil and no label to showcase the rich color of the liquid.

The inner box pays homage to The GlenAllachie namesake – meaning “valley of the rocks” in Scots Gaelic – with stone and slate textures that evoke the rugged Scottish landscape. An enclosed booklet offers insight into the whisky, its inspiration, cask types, and tasting notes, while a foil-stamped signature from Billy Walker serves as a seal of approval.

The GlenAllachie 1990 / 35 Year Old Cask Strength carries a recommended retail price of £1,512.99 and is available now at the distillery’s visitor centre and online shop. It will become available globally in the coming weeks.

The Macallan Launches Distil Your World Paris

The Macallan has launched Distil Your World Paris, the latest in a series of limited edition single malt Scotch whiskies exploring leading locations around the globe.

Crafted by The Macallan Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell in collaboration with the Roca brothers, owners of El Celler de Can Roca, twice named Best Restaurant in the World, Distil Your World Paris is “a love letter to the elegance, sophistication and gastronomic artistry of the French capital.”

Distil Your World Paris was created from American and European sherry seasoned oak casks, ex-bourbon casks, and Cognac casks that were married and bottled at 47.2% ABV. It’s described as having aromas of “almond croissants, rose, sweet nectarines, sandalwood, and vanilla pods.” The palate exhibits flavors of “buttered pastry, brioche, peach melba, mille-feuille, and toasted oak.” It concludes with a finish of “gentle spices and warm oak.”

Distil Your World Paris is presented in a white box featuring a map tracing Kirsteen’s journey through the city, with key locations elevated in sculptural detail. The artwork inside, created in collaboration with Paris-based artist Cassandre Montoriol, reflects the vibrant energy and timeless charm of Paris. Her gouache illustrations depict a lively table d’hôte scene on a quintessential Parisian street, bathed in the warm glow of evening lights.

The Macallan Distil Your World Paris is available now directly from The Macallan and through select retailers for a suggested retail price of $4,750.

The GlenAllachie Launches Sinteis Part III

The GlenAllachie Distillery has announced the launch of the third edition in the Sinteis Series (pronounced sin-teesh), The GlenAllachie Sinteis Part III.

Sinteis Part III is a 2014 vintage that combines single malt matured in Oloroso Sherry casks with spirit from French Limousin virgin oak barrels, and is bottled of natural color, non-chill filtered, and presented at a cask strength of 57.4% ABV.

The GlenAllachie Sinteis Part III is described as having aromas of “orange zest, nutmeg, and dried orchard fruits, with honeycomb, maraschino cherries, mocha, and crystalised brown sugar.” The palate exhibits notes of “heather honey, spiced orange, and baked apple, followed by winter truffle, muscovado sugar, and cinnamon.” It finishes with “hazelnuts and mocha.”

Sinteis Part III is presented in packaging created by in-house designer and Scottish artist, Kayley Barbour. It features a hand-drawn motif inspired by French virgin oak, showcasing interwoven and finely detailed branches and roots. The bespoke presentation box features a wood grain texture, paying homage to the importance of oak throughout this series.

The GlenAllachie Sinteis Part III carries a recommended retail price of £75.99 and is available now at the distillery’s visitor centre and its online shop. It will become available worldwide in the coming weeks.

Glenfiddich Unveils Packaging Redesign

Glenfiddich has unveiled a new look inspired by its releases from the 1960s, when the brand helped establish Single Malt Scotch Whisky as an international spirits category.

The refreshed design features a reworked stag, which has featured on the bottle since the 1960s and was originally inspired by Sir Edwin Landseer’s 1851 painting The Monarch of the Glen. The Glenfiddich’s wordmark has been updated to sans-serif typography that evokes modernity while paying tribute to British type design and the wordmark that first appeared on its bottles in the 1960s. The Grant Family Crest has also been reworked and is embossed within the new packaging.

Glenfiddich’s new packaging design will roll out globally beginning April 2026.

The Macallan Announces Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary Release

The Macallan has unveiled The Macallan Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary Release, a limited edition single malt that marks 55 years since the James Bond film hit theaters.

Distilled in 2007 and matured for 18 years, the whisky is crafted from sherry seasoned European and American oak casks, complemented with American oak casks which previously held red wine, and is bottled at 45.5% ABV.

The design of the bottle and presentation box draws directly from the Diamonds Are Forever production art in the official Bond archives, including the laser-beam satellite and the film’s opening title sequence.

The Macallan Diamonds are Forever 55th Anniversary Release is described as having aromas of “sweet polished oak, vanilla bean, and rich dried fruits.” The palate exhibits notes of “creamy vanilla and caramel, hints of cocoa powder coated champagne truffles, coffee, dried fruit like figs, berries and apricots, and subtle spices.” The finish is “long and refined with a lingering warmth.”

The Macallan Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary Release is available now via themacallan.com and at The Macallan Estate Boutique for a suggested retail price of $750. It will also be available at select national and local U.S. retailers starting March 2026.

Chivas Brothers has unveiled The Glenlivet Eternal Collection, Second Edition, 56 Year Old, 1 of 1.

The Glenlivet Eternal Collection, Second Edition, 56 Year Old, 1 of 1 was initially aged in an American oak barrel, then finished in a bespoke sherry butt. To create the bespoke sherry butt, Master Blender Kevin Balmforth collaborated with sherry suppliers in Spain to craft a bespoke seasoning blend — combining Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, and Palo Cortado — which seasoned a new Spanish oak cask for finishing the whisky.

Official tasting notes for The Glenlivet Eternal Collection, Second Edition, 56 Year Old, 1 of 1 follow:

Nose: The nose opens with the richness of poached plums and sticky dates, complemented by indulgent notes of toffee sponge and orange marmalade. Luscious dark chocolate ganache emerges alongside caramelised almonds, lifted by a gentle warmth of clove and cinnamon spice.

Palate: On the palate, vibrant blackberries and ripe banana unfold into cherry compote and sweet candied walnuts. Treacle cake and golden sultanas follow, enriched with bright orange zest and crystallised ginger, all carried by a backdrop of warming festive spice.

Finish: Velvety and sweet, the finish lingers with complexity, leaving enduring notes of rich dark chocolate.

The Glenlivet Eternal Collection, Second Edition, 56 Year Old, 1 of 1 is bottled at 42.7% ABV and presented in a 24 carat gold-plated spherical glass decanter, adorned with gold engravings of heather branches. Its bespoke bar top features a 137.73 carat lab-grown Paraiba Tourmaline simulant. The whisky is accompanied by a bespoke sculptural plinth crafted by artist Fredrikson Stallard, featuring 3D-printed heather branches plated in 24 carat gold that rise from a base of Guatemalan green marble.

The Glenlivet Eternal Collection, Second Edition, 56 Year Old, 1 of 1 will be offered through Sotheby’s Finest & Rarest Whisky auction, running from November 6–20, 2025, and carries an estimated hammer of £35,000-£70,000. Proceeds will support the National Trust for Scotland’s excavation work within the Cairngorms, where erosion threatens archaeological remains that could unlock new understanding of prehistoric life in the region.

The GlenAllachie Distillery has launched a limited edition single malt to mark Lunar New Year 2026: The GlenAllachie Year of the Horse 13 Year Old.

The GlenAllachie Year of the Horse 13 Year Old was matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry casks, as well as high-charred Appalachian virgin oak barrels, and is bottled without artificial coloring or chill filtration and presented at 48% ABV.

The GlenAllachie Year of the Horse 13 Year Old is described as having aromas of “orange zest, mocha, and warmed molasses, intertwined with hints of butterscotch, rich cocoa, and cinnamon sticks.” The palate exhibits flavors of “toasted almonds, honeycomb, and maraschino cherries, followed by candied ginger, Black Forest gâteau, baking spices, and blood orange, culminating in a truly celebratory dram.”

The GlenAllachie Year of the Horse 13 Year Old is presented in a red bespoke carton featuring a hand-drawn illustration with gold foil and embossed detail. A horseshoe charm, symbolising good fortune, sits around the neck of the bottle.

The GlenAllachie Year of the Horse 13 Year Old carries a suggested retail price of £78.99 and will be available in Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Thailand, Japan, and Hong Kong. A small number of bottles will also be available at The GlenAllachie Distillery and online shop in January.
